a future not as bright?

congress defunded the january 1 light bulb bill, but the law still exists.

new technologies, after 125 years, are finally doing mr. edisons invention in.

100 watt light bulbs, effective 5 days ago, are no longer legally manufactured.

effective next january, 75 watt light bulbs wont be made.

in 2014, the 40s and 60s will be history.

home depot spokesmen claim to have enough 100 watt bulbs to last through june.

we can safely assume that the LED replacement lights, markedly inferior to the incandescents at this point, will undergo a rapid chain of remarkable development.

Energy independence and Security Act of 2007 increased the efficiency standards for light bulbs by 30% from 2012-2014. The new energy standards begin with 100 watt bulbs in 2012, and end with 45 watt bulbs in 2014. There is also a list of exempt bulb types that includes appliance lamps, rough service bulbs, 3-way, colored lamps, and plant lights. In 2020 a second set efficiency raising standards will take effect. It passed the House and Senate with comfortable majorities, and Bush signed it into law in 2007. Wonder what he was thinking?

the led bulbs will soon be better, remarkably so.

even hardcore environmentalists admit they now suck.

just give folks a challenge where they can possibly make lots of money.
