i remember a day in the horseshoe, playing for smu, when he threw, it seemed like 70 passes.
then there was 8 years with the cowboys, and those long tf passes to bullet bob hayes.
he will be missed! I will never forget the MNF bantering between him and the blustery howard cosell.
tv was never so good; football was never so fine.
don was naturally FUNNY, lovied needling howie, loved life, and knew the game inside out.
