driving her deeper into the ditch

the oman spoke a rare(for him) truth today.
"the republicans wouldnt nominate abraham lincoln today."
he should have amended his remarks to state "neither would we dems."

even if these political candidates start with the best of intentions, they must sell their souls to the devil, or whomever, for their massive campaign funds.

i have envelopes here from both parties 'desperately needing election funds.'
my monthly bottle of wild turkey rare breed bourbon will be a far better investment, and better for me.

when you hear all these republican candidates get up, especially the blithering sister sarah saying. "we have the highest corporate tax rates in the world(35%). what they should add was, "if anyone paid it", but they dont pay it.
it is primarily the republicans coming in saying "we are pro business, blah, blah, blah."
i have nothing wrong with being pro-business, i'm a business-friendly kind of guy, but when your best argument to support that belief is "highest corporate tax rate...."
WHOA!!!
REPUBLICANS, MAKE A BETTER ARGUMENT TO ME THAN THAT.

business giant google, with an effective tax rate of 2% for their billions of dollars of overseas business, through some elaborate international tax dodging and money laundering, through ireland, scotland, and bermuda-something called a 'double irish and dutch sandwich'.

of course, there our 'big-business hating'president, several days ago attending a funder, and schmooze, hosted by the google ceo eric schmidt, perhaps the dems biggest donor(remind me to tell you sometime how google development was funded in the mid 90s at leland stanford u., largely with u.s. government grants(remind me to tell you about that sometime).

business giant verizon got a several billion dollar TAX CREDIT from the feds last year.
these guys are finding loopholes, which their lobbyists, lawyers, and congress eased into the tax code. this country has more loopholes than anybody else.

fine, republicans, bring the corporate tax rate down(corporate tax last year was effectively 7%), but let's GET RID OF THE LOOPHOLES.

silly, silly, pols.
...and you call asking me for money
i havent the time to talk.
i'm on my way to the liquor store.
