"CHEAP JUNK FROM CHINA," a product review

Photobucket

i called a veteran local computer tech asking  for a used xp model after the storm last sunday fried mine.
"i want a small hard drive, plenty of RAM, and XP."
"i have just what you need."
,,,,,and he did and i am now purring contendedly with my beloved xp.

in a corner of the neat organized  historic shop was a monitor that caught my eye.

"i've read about this one."
"i dislike acer products, but, after some research, i found  this 22" LED backlit widescreen was actually built bt LG, THE industry leader.
the resolution, contrast, and color are awesomely awesome!",  he shared.
....and they are, and i love my bright new acer!!!!!

Acer S220HQL 22" Class Widescreen LED Backlit Monitor - 1920 x

1080, 16:9, 100000000:1 Dynamic, 1000:1 Native

it is factory  set to vivid showroom color and brightness, which you may want to dial back a little.
the units sell for around $150-$160, if you can find one.
if you trust UPS with your flourescent tube  backlit LED screen with the  thin thin thin delicate delicate monitor, you may find one cheaper.
"people want this cheap computer and phone junk from china built by 14 years olds to be dependable and last, and it isn't and wont.  if it was built by americans, there would be accountability."
the controls are tiny and very hard to access on the  right bottom under the display.
my  20 pound cat, ms. goodspeak, loves to rub against the images on this delicate led screen.
she could knock it over and coat it with cat hair!!!!
 what a nightmare!
i'm looking for a 'cat protector.'
the trouble with this computer tech is that he is an awesome, wise, frank, and interesting conversationalist.
"i wouldn't take an apple product if they paid me to take it," he stated further.

he services mainly businesses, but  will open for you or visit  by appointment.

aloc won't shill, but  he  loves buying local, if and when he can.
if there are problems,  he'll let you know.........

"This review is from: Acer S220HQL 22" Class Widescreen LED HD Monitor (Electronics)
Picture quality is great, nice and bright, good color and everything, and that's the most important thing. My complaints are less important, and budget shoppers will be pleased, which is why I still gave it 4 stars.
1) There is just one plug in the back which is VGA. There is no DVI plug or an adapter to go from VGA to DVI. Of course, I have one, so no big deal, but not everyone is a computer hardware pack-rat like me.
2) The power cord is weird. It is not the typical three-prong cord like you plug into your computer's power supply; it's a little circle plug-in like you would get for small electronics. I suppose the power-sipping monitor didn't need the usual beefy cord, but I'm thinking "what if I lose it" as if that's going to happen. I just prefer interchangeability.
3) The thing is a featherweight. I know that should be a good thing but every time I turn it off by pushing the somewhat-awkwardly-placed power button on the bottom-side of the corner, I about knock the thing over. Maybe they should have put the button on the front so I could just sort of pinch it with one finger on the button and the other on the back-side of the monitor for support. "

one of the more helpful aspects of the ultra thin design is the ability to easily tilt the screen back to as much as 15 degrees.  what a wonderful relief from shoulder tension and neckstrain!!!!
i took a magnifier and went to the dead pixel finder site, and, at first look, i can't find one.
