our mansfield area in the last few months has been besieged by an asault of revolting local news items. bar killings, foolish auto accidents, sickening industrial accidents, more child abuse and neglect , and worse, than most care to imagine flash before our eyes, families, workplaces, and neighborhoods.
senseless fatal auto crashes, life changing or ending industrial mishaps, crimes of passion, child and spousal abuse and/or neglect, substance induced outrageous acts..........
most will long remain fresh in our mind's eyes.
pillars of our community have their integrity under legal questioning.
after my workout yesterday, while rehydrating at a local pub, a customer was spotted carrying in 2 bags of beer cans to share for display so that all could see them.
george hall, an amiable gent half my age, found them in the attic of his new home.
we discussed them and shared drink choices for a while.
soon, the discussion turned to more pressing topics.
a brother, gary, was murdered christmas night at kostas night club.
the assailant is now imprisoned, and will be, for a while.
gary, a key employee of the respected ambry asphalt company has been irreplacable.
the family has received, or will receive compensation from a st,ate victims fund..
one of the ambrys was my neighbor, and a wonderful one at that.
the elder kosta, long ago my insurance man, suffered a heart attack days after the gruesome event.
the family appreciates the more than huge outpouring of good will shown gary and family, which is still being offered.
tragic news usually is often near our doorstep, or not we are aware.
sometimes,another beer can be as explosive and dangerous to folks as a liquid oxygen tank.
the hall family has received some financial compensation from an ohio victims compensation act.
