men in white coveralls

this was the waste water treatment facility.  the men in white coveralls who worked here were the highest pay grade in a shop of thousands.
they wore masks and mixed chemicals and cleaned the water from a huge factory.


now they are gone.  their dials, their pumps lie fallow, their facility is a playground for rats and addicts.
all that's left of their life daily work you now see, for a while yet, and then it will  pass and there will be nary a sign they were ever here, but i will miss the bright men in white coveralls.


men's workplaces are sacred, for that is where they are truly what they are.
