the mansfield aldi is moving to ontario from a west 4th store location site where it has held forth for the past 25+ years, and is now virtually taking on grocery biggy walmart face to face .
aldi is a small-format store, bag your own, focussing on mostly private label brands, augmented by fresh meat and produce.
aldi u.s. is owned and financed by a german trust , but the profits are reinvested in the u.s
their bigest direct competitiors in this region are save-a-lot and walmart..
aldi is right for me about once a month; i always come out smiling at the savings, although i always forget the quarter deposit for the cart and my own bags. i'm working on that.
