weathervane on libya

i'm no fan of news media and their government handout news bulletins,  or government p.r. handouts, and haven't been for at least a  generation or two.

why are we bombing libya?
i've no idea.

common  sense tells me that we will be in libya much much longer than our leaders have implied.

military under fire doesn't face, fight, and get slaughtered any more.
they retreat and rope-a-dope.

we have announced that  our bombing efforts will only be for a limited period.

the rebels will hold their gained territory for as long as we continue to bomb, and no longer.

the libyan rebels have only paper victories.

we have 2 choices to save them.

we can inject our ground forces, or we can
organize the rebels into combat forces, and furnish them instruction, weapons, and dollars.

 qaddafi has 3 choices.

he and his family can abandon ship.

his terrorists can terrorize europe and the the mideast.

he can terrorize the u.s; he has proved to be an adept terrorism organizer.
