4 loko to be recyled as ethanol

truckloads of 4 loko are headed for virginia

a staple of frat parties and senior citizen parties the last few years has been removed from the market.
this is truly a sad occasion.
i'm confident that the market makers will find a different way of marketting a similar product, perhaps in smaller containers.

the high-energy, high-alcohol drink isn't going into stores, but gas tanks.

four loko and similar drinks were pulled off the market after federal health officials warned users could become "wide-awake drunk.

east coast wholesalers are sending cases of their drinks to MXI Environmental Services in Virginia.

the company will recycle the drinks into ethanol, which will be mixed with gasoline.

the cans will be recycled, too.

to aloc, this is a travesty. a modest 11% alcohol in a can is nothing to be riled about, and a waste of bad alcohol.

i've enjoyed several hundred cans of the spritely drink, and especially enjoy(ed) the watermelon flavor.

it was a fine cheap buzz.
