"never look a gift horse in the mouth"-

occasionally drinkn favors me with a bottle or two of his painstakingly produced beautiful beautiful beers. his knowledge of the brewing process and love of fine tasting beers of balance make every bottle a very special gift. i know little about brewing beer, but i know a great deal about drinking it and loving it.



this accomodating stout is lovely-the mouthfeel, malt, hints of chocolate and malt malt malt. coffee, delicate roast, glorious aftertaste are superb. how can there be just one?
it reminds me very very much of youngs double chocolate stout minus that over the top chocolate. the head and lacing disappear in a second. i hope to visit this paradise of a beer again.
