i wont be an organ donor, unless it's somebody that i know.
i just heard of a wealthy man whose daughter, who didnt have insurance, needed and successfully received a transplant, maybe a double transplant. the bill was around $3 million.

i wont be an organ donor because i dont believe in trafficking in body parts, where everyone is paid but deceased's family. these freely donated organs cost him $220,000.
when you get up to those numbers, cant they flip the family 10 grand, or, at least pay for a nice funeral for the family?
they also mine the deceased for cosmetic transplants, and those recipients pay a premium. i am aware of the great cost in removing, matching, and preserving organs, but everyone seems to be profitting except the deceased's family.
